By being circumcised, your erections are limited by the amount of skin you have left

I don’t know about you, but I see ad’s and spam email all the time saying “make your penis 2 inches longer” or “grow your penis in a week!” and all this garbage that everyone knows is fake.  Anyone who has done any research at all on the subject will tell you that there is no way to grow your penis without major surgery, which is both ridiculously expensive, super risky, and there’s no guarantee it will even work.  Yet if you ask most men, they would tell you that they wished their penis was larger, even if their partner’s didn’t.

But it turns out there is a way, and it’s cheap, easy, and safe, and it comes with a whole host of added benefits.  You see, when you are circumcised at birth, almost 40% of the skin on your penis gets removed.  Now imagine if your penis were a balloon.  If you removed 40% of a balloon’s material, then it wouldn’t get very large before it would pop.  Well your penis works pretty much the same way, except it doesn’t actually pop.  But with all that less skin, it gets to a point where it can’t get any larger because essentially runs out of skin to stretch.   So by being circumcised, your erections are limited by the amount of skin you have left.

Now it’s a known fact that the vast majority of people that have restored their foreskins report increases in both length and girth, and also when they get an erection it no longer hurts like it’s going to burst out of its skin.  I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’re not going to gain an extra two inches or anything like that, but still, a modest increase for sure.  And it should also be noted that many people with curved penises that are a result of an uneven circumcision report that once they restore, their penises straighten out.

And then of course there’s all the added benefits of significantly increased sensation and virtually no chafing or painful dry sex for either you or your partner.  I mean, lube is cool and all, but who the hell wants to mess with that stuff if you don’t have to?

All this for a measly $100 and little bit of effort.  It’s a no-brainer if you ask me.  Especially if you factor in not having to buy lube ever again (or at least very rarely).  That $100 investment will pay for itself in no time flat.

What brought this on is that over the past couple weeks, my erections have sort of “felt” larger, and I wanted to comment about it.  And then just a night or two ago my girlfriend commented during sex that my penis both looked and felt larger.  Given the fact that I’m only about ¼ of the way through my restoration, I have to believe that the actual measured increase is minimal at best.  But never the less, we both noticed a difference.  And, well, that’s pretty awesome if you ask me.  It’s never a bad thing when your girl says to you “wow, your penis looks huge!”

I would also like to point out that we have had several lengthy sex sessions lately, and virtually no chafing has occurred.  Which is a vast improvement over this time last year.  The sex can still be dry, as I don’t yet have enough extra skin to block the moisture in, but it’s definitely apparent that I have regrown enough skin to reduce the friction substantially.  And that, my friends, is motivating factor number 117 that keeps me putting that device on every day and looking forward to what happens next.

The One Thing I Never Saw Coming

Hip hip hooray!  I have reached 6 months without any real setbacks and I’m still going strong.  I suppose I wish I was a little further along, but who wouldn’t?  Though I am very grateful that I’m right where I am supposed to be.  So all is well.

One thing that I really never saw coming as I started out on this journey, is that I have become a full blown intactivist. I got into this from a purely restoration standpoint.  I was already 36 years old when I started, I knew how I got this way, and I frankly I never really had an issue with it.  I didn’t start restoring out of spite or anger or emotional damage or anything directed at my parents or anything.  They made the decision out of ignorance, and in 1975 the circumcision rate in this country was something like 80%.  It’s just how it was as far as I was concerned.  I basically just came to the conclusion one day that my penis was not whole, and I was losing sensitivity, and I had discovered a way to improve the situation.  So I am.  That’s all there is to it.

It wasn’t really until after I started restoring that I began learning about all the myths and horrors of circumcision.  Now I find myself subscribing to all these different intactivist organizations and spending as much time educating people on circumcision as I do restoration.  I figure, why not try to prevent people from ever having to restore in the first place.  Though I have to say, I am surprised by how many people out there today seem as blind and ignorant as my parents were in the 70’s, even though the current RIC rate is only about 36%.  And I find it rather insane that there are still men out there that firmly believe they should circumcise their boy for the sole reason that they want their penises to look the same.  Frankly that’s the stupidest, most ignorant and selfish thing I have ever heard.  I’ve never even seen my dads penis.  I know there are lots of other reasons why parents of today opt to circumcise, but to me that one is just the worst, most asinine thing ever.

The thing I have found to be the most difficult is getting people to open their minds in the first place.  Once they educate themselves, it’s an easy sale, but getting people to actually stop and go “ok, fine, I’ll at least read up on it a little, maybe watch a video or two” is surprisingly difficult for some people.  And I find it so troubling when I read daily accounts of couples whose relationships are severely strained over the issue of circumcision.  It’s almost overwhelming at how prevalent it still is.  And I find it even more troubling when I hear accounts of relationships where they were in disagreement over circumcision and the one who was for it ends up winning the “argument”.

Maybe I’m over-simplifying it, but at this point, with what I know now, I would dump any partner in a heartbeat before I would lose that battle.  I know this might hurt a few people who have been in this position before, but if you are in this position now or in the future, it is your obligation to go WAY over the top if you have to in order to win that battle against ignorance, because your son is going to suffer for the rest of his life over your inaction, and you are going to have to deal with that guilt as well.  It’s totally worth freaking out on your spouse or partner (or doing whatever the hell you have to do) in order to get their attention.

The bottom line is, every reason that has ever been used to justify circumcision anywhere on this planet has been proven wrong.  And more importantly, vaginas were not designed to have intercourse with circumcised penises.  If they were, then we wouldn’t need lube and it wouldn’t hurt for either person, it’s as simple as that.  We were born with foreskins for a reason.  And cutting them off is simply inexcusable on every level.

So once I get back from being on the road and start my group discussions back up, I will spend more time getting in front of expecting parents than I will circumcised men.  Because as much as I strongly want to start a restoration revolution (and I will), I now believe that prevention is FAR more important.  Because even though restoring is relatively easy, it’s still something that no one should have to go through, and you can’t restore everything that was lost.

Decisions, decisions…

So I stumbled onto this device yesterday called a Senslip, and I’m not sure what to think.  It’s like a fake foreskin sleeve that you put on your penis.  The purpose of it is to enable dekeratinization of the glans and restore sensitivity.  However, their intent with the device is for you to pretty much wear one of these things forever.  Because if you don’t then the keratinization will return, and also, during the times that you don’t have one on, the head of your penis will be SUPER sensitive to the point where unless you are actively engaging in sex, it will be rather annoying.

One thing that sort of turned me off is that they don’t really promote or embrace the idea of restoration, they simply say it is too long and difficult, and that you should just wear one of these things forever instead.  I get it, a lifelong customer is always better than a temporary one.  But they are missing out on a market by not selling these to restorers as well.  They could market them as a shortcut to sensitivity.

I considered trying one out, because it would dekeratinize me until my foreskin was restored enough to take over the job of covering my glans on its own.  A shortcut that would be similar to the retainer devices I have mentioned in previous posts.  But my concern is that if I got one of these, then I would be “hooked” on them until my foreskin got long enough to do the job on its own.  And I don’t know if I want that.  I feel like it’s just one more device I would have to mess with, one more thing I have to clean and put on.  I kind of want to just wait until my foreskin is able to do the job on its own.  I like the idea of my penis being natural even if it is circumcised.  The whole idea of wearing my DTR, and then taking it off and putting the Senslip on and then switching back and forth all day long sounds a bit daunting to me.  Plus, it is made of latex, and I don’t want my dick smelling like latex all the time.  I imagine that would be a turn-off.

But then I ask myself, what if the sensation that I’m missing out on is so great that, had I known, I would have bought one of these things a long time ago because it would have been worth all the fuss?  But then another part of me thinks, well, I’ve gone this long without experiencing it, what’s another year or so?  I’ll still get to enjoy the increased sensation for the rest of my life once I’m restored, so dicking around with a fake foreskin in the meantime isn’t really worth the trouble.

I think if I wasn’t restoring, then I would probably go down this route, because at least then I wouldn’t have to switch back and forth all day.

I also have considered buying one just to see what it feels like so that I can speak about it from personal experience instead of speculation.  I still may.  The jury is still out.

And on a totally unrelated note, I have now read multiple accounts from men who have restored their foreskins in a fraction of the time that seems normal.  Everything I have read says that the average is 2-3 years.  Some have taken as many as 7!  But if you are diligent, and you were fortunate enough to not have a really tight cut, then 2 years is normal.  But lately I have heard about people who have restored full flaccid coverage in as little as 6 or 7 months.  Frankly I am baffled by this.  It just doesn’t seem physically possible.  Even 12 to 18 months seems somewhat plausible, but 6 or 7?!  I just don’t get it.  I understand how skin growth works, and it’s not an overnight process.  I hope to meet someone someday who has restored this quickly and can show me and prove to me that they did it in 7 months.

When I first read an account of this, I just laughed it off.  I thought they were just embellishing and exaggerating to sound cool or something.  But I have now read several independent accounts that say similar things, albeit they are still in the small minority.  But needless to say, my curiosity is piqued, because if there is something I can be doing to speed up the process, then I am all for it.  Because even though the process I am going through is entirely endurable, I would be lying if I said I didn’t want it to go quicker.  And not because the process sucks, but simply because I want to be enjoying the benefits of a restored foreskin that much sooner.

Also, I have been reading a bit more on the forums, and there are lots of people out there who desire to keep going until they have full coverage while erect.  Normally, with most natural intact penises, you are fully covered when flaccid, and then the foreskin retracts as it erects.  I know there are some exceptions out there, but that’s how it normally works for the vast majority.  So I’m not sure what the additional benefits are by continuing to keep restoring so that the foreskin covers the full erect penis.  I mean, the two main functions of a foreskin are to keep the glans covered while flaccid, and to provide a linear gliding mechanism during sex, both of which are fully effective if you restore to the point of flaccid coverage.

So if you were to keep going, then what would happen?  Would the gliding sensation be improved?  Would the extra foreskin enhance or detract from the sensation on the head of the penis?  Who knows.  I would like to talk to someone who has gone this far and ask them if it’s better.

Let’s Get The Ball Rolling

So I am coming to the realization that there isn’t much to report these days.  Everything is going well.  I continue to put the device on every day, or almost every day, and my foreskin continues to grow.  I can see it and feel it every day.  The process is working just like it is supposed to.  And my progress is almost exactly the same as the progress photos on the DTR website.  Right now I have completed 5 months, and the skin is bunched up right at the coronal ridge, and it’s a safe bet that in the next few months it will be up and over the ridge just like the guy on the DTR site.

So the bottom line is, I just keep doing it, and it just keeps working.  And all of the things I said in the beginning about how easy it is, and how painless it is, and how it just plain works like I said it was going to still hold true.  I am 5 months in and there has not been one single instance that has come along and made me question my decision.  And I am completely confident that there is not going to be a situation that arises that will prompt me to deem the project a failure and cause me to quit prematurely.  So if anyone out there was just sort of standing by, waiting to see how it works out with me first, you can be sure at this point that it works great, and everything is doing exactly what it is supposed to.

So come on everyone, let’s make this happen.  If you’re a guy with a circumcised penis, what are you waiting for?  If you’re a woman with a circumcised partner, start hammering your man with the truth.  Tell him that it is your human right to fornicate with a properly functioning penis and that he needs to take action and do something about it.  You deserve better, and eventually he’ll realize he does too.

Knowing what I know now about the sexual functions of a foreskin, I can’t understand for the life of me why anyone would continue to settle for the lame-ass sex that results from a circumcised penis.  And if you are circumcised and you think you are already having rocking sex and don’t think you need to change anything, imagine if your rocking sex could be vastly improved in ways you have never imagined?  You would do whatever it took, wouldn’t you? Well restore your foreskin and that’s exactly what you will get.

Right now I am happy to be “That guy who is restoring his foreskin”, but I really want to be “That guy who started a revolution.”  And I really DON’T want to be “That guy who completely restored his foreskin while everyone else just stood by and watched and then wished theirs was restored too.”  Don’t make me be that guy.  The evidence is overwhelmingly clear.  Let’s get the ball rolling.

My First Taste of Adversity

So this last month has given me my first taste of adversity in my path to a new foreskin.  Once the weather heated up a few things changed.  The first is, you tend to sweat a little more when it’s hot out all the time.  And it’s not like my junk is dripping sweat all day long or anything, but even the slightest increase in sweat can make the gripper not grip as well.  Combine that with the fact that I have been wearing very little clothing over the past month, and that has helped to create more sexual energy with my girlfriend.  And more sexual energy leads to more erections.  And each time I get an erection, even if it’s just a half of one, even if it’s just for a couple minutes while we’re kissing in the kitchen, the DTR has to come off right away or it ends up getting pushed off on its own and it hurts.  A process we affectionately refer to as “boning out of my stretcher.”  And so in order to keep it on for any length of time, I have to constantly wash the device, wash my penis, and hope I don’t get an erection for the next little while.  And frankly, there were more than a handful of days where that just wasn’t practical.

Up to this point, there had been maybe like 3 days total where I didn’t wear it at all.  In this last month alone there were probably about 7-10 days where either I didn’t wear it at all, or wore it for only an hour at most.  That is until I left Phoenix and headed north to cooler temperatures and no girlfriend on my trip.  But since I left on the 1st, I have worn that thing almost nonstop.  I’m making up for lost time I suppose.  And luckily I haven’t noticed any real adverse effects or any kind of reversal of stretchiness or anything like that.  In fact, I can stretch it as much now as I ever have.  So it looks like steady progress is still being made despite the minor setback.  In fact, I’m very close to moving up from the 4” rod to the 5” rod.  Actually I should probably get around to ordering it soon, I could probably switch to it now.

Also, I hosted another educational event this last month, only a few people showed again, but I managed to blow their minds anyway.  Everyone I present to is just totally surprised by what they did not know, and even though it’s only a few people each time, it’s very inspiring and motivating to do this.  And I will keep doing it, and eventually lots of people will come.

And lastly, I will be traveling off and on for the most of the summer, so my updates will be coming from the road.  This will also be another test for me as my routine will be pretty much non-existent during this time.  But the one good thing I have going for me as that most of my travels will be in cooler climates, so the whole sweat issue should not be a factor.  So we’ll see how it goes.

Random Thoughts and a Month 3 Update

So this past month I have worked hard to create more awareness for foreskin restoration.  I have conducted group discussions, answered emails, and showed my penis to multiple rooms full of people.  I love the looks and the reactions I get from people.  Many are astonished when they see the device in action.  And without a doubt, the first thing out of everyone’s mouth when they see me put the device on is “WOW!…Does it hurt?”  And the answer is a resounding NO.  It does not hurt, yet so many people continue to ask.  Though I suppose if I were looking at it on someone for the first time, it might look like something that might be painful, but I can assure you that it’s not.  Like I have said before, there are several times throughout the day where I forget it’s even on.  Not only does it not hurt, but usually I can’t even feel it at all.

It has been exciting to witness the genuine interest that I have generated for this process, though I am always surprised when I encounter people who digest all of the information regarding foreskin restoration and still don’t see the merit in doing it.  But I just have to remind myself that I didn’t immediately jump on the bandwagon either.  It took me months to actually decide to do it, and then additional weeks before I actually purchased the tool.  So I just have to keep encouraging people, because at this point there are probably dozens of people that are right there on the fence and just need a little push over the edge.

Some people have asked me if I am affiliated with the maker of the device and am getting kickbacks or something since I push this stuff so hard.  I am definitely not affiliated.  I don’t have anything to gain by promoting the device.  I am just super passionate about it because its cheap, its amazing, and its guaranteed to work.  And the more people I meet, I realize that the vast majority of men have simply never heard of the process.  But once they learn a little about it, they are totally on board.  And if anything, I just want to have some other dudes out there that can relate to the amazingness that a restored foreskin brings to their lives.  So I want get people going soon so that they aren’t too far behind me.

As far as progress goes, I have started to get a big bunch of skin that bunches up at the coronal ridge, and I can feel the extra skin when I masturbate, but still not really when I am having sex yet.  I still have a ways to go before it regrows enough to actually go up and over the coronal ridge.  I expect that sometime around month 6 or 7.  So for now I am just continuing to put the thing on as much as possible and try not to think about it so much.  There is definitely no instant gratification here, but there is enough incremental improvements throughout to keep me motivated.

Another thing I hear a lot from people when I tell them about restoration is, “I don’t think I have the patience to do that.”  And my first thought is, it doesn’t require patience.  Like, at all.  It simply  requires that you establish a simple new routine in your life.  To me, something that requires patience is something that requires you to actively tell yourself things like “ok, I can do this, keep calm, be patient, it will be over soon.” etc.  Like as if you’re waiting in a long line for the new iPad or something.  But this doesn’t require you to actively think about anything.  You just put it on and forget about it and go about your day.  Zero patience involved.  New routine, yes.  Commitment, yes.  Patience, no.

Also, I feel like some of these thoughts have already been expressed in previous posts, but they keep coming up again and again when I talk to new people as I go through this process, so I guess I’ll keep expressing them.

I really can’t wait until I’m like year or so into the process and I have a significant amount of regrowth, because then when I show people they will really have something tangible to look at and it will be that much more compelling of a demonstration.

And lastly, I will be hosting another discussion next week regarding restoration, and this time it will be co-ed.  I will send out a Facebook Event notice in the next day or so.

Month 2 down, 22ish more to go…

So today is month two and I have definitely noticed a real, tangible difference.  I have now stopped using the rubber bands entirely, and I always just use the tension screw instead.  And not only that, but when I first got the device, I could only push the 4″rod down about an inch or so at the most, now I can push it all the way down, which tells me that I have stretched the skin by almost two inches.  To clarify, I don’t believe I have actually regrown two inches of new skin, but I have loosened and stretched the skin by quite a bit.  So now the DTR device goes on much easier, and there is a lot more to work with.  And I can visually see a difference as well, most of the time now I can see the skin bunched up at the ridge of my glans and it appears noticeably looser.  But there does not appear to be more skin, just looser skin.  I have read on the forums that in the beginning your skin stretches a bit before it actually regrows, which gives the illusion of rapid progress for beginners.  So all you new people that are just starting out with this, expect at some point for your progress to slow somewhat.  However, know that the progress isn’t really slowing, you are still regrowing skin at the same rate, its just that there is no longer a ton of stretching happening along with the regrowing.  In the end its all the same.  And I can still see the stretch marks that indicate that the process is working.

As for the cone, well, I wish I had better news, but the cone has been a little slow to catch on.  The main problem with it is that I don’t think I have quite enough extra skin yet for it to be super practical and easy to use.  It does work, but it doesn’t stay on real well, and its kind of a pain in the ass to get it on and secured.  And unlike the DTR, it has tested my patience a little bit.  So I have not been consistent with it yet.  But don’t get me wrong, I definitely see potential for it in the near future.  As soon as I have a little more skin to work with, I believe the cone will become easier to use and I will use it more.  Lately I have not been wearing the cone much during the day, but I have been making a consistent effort to sleep with it on.  However, occasionally if I get an erection while I am sleeping, the cone makes it uncomfortable enough that I wake up and yank it off.  Whereas without the cone, I would have slept right through it.  But otherwise, if I don’t get an erection while I sleep, the cone usually stays on all night no matter how much I toss and turn.  Whereas during the day, it never seems to stay on in my pants very well, sometimes just the act of sitting down will make it pop off.  I have looked at the other retaining options to see if something out there might be better and I haven’t really been compelled to try anything else.  They all kind of look the same in terms of how they would work on a penis in the early stages of restoring.  So I’m just going stay with what I have and keep using it, and eventually it will get easier.

In other news, I am so happy to report that a family member contacted me the other day about restoration.  This pleases me to no end.  I have not hidden my restoration from my family, but I have also not talked about it or promoted it with them as much as I do with my friends.  I told a few select family members and have sort of let the grapevine do its work.  I figured if family members were interested, they would reach out to me, and fortunately they have.  I’m sure at some point I will really start hammering them with info once it gets more comfortable.  But in the meantime, if you are family, and you are reading this, and you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.  I will fill you so full of information it will make your head spin.  And this goes for anyone else for that matter.  I know a lot and am not shy about explaining the process in detail.

And lastly, if you are a male, and you are circumcised, and you are not restoring your foreskin, then what the hell are you waiting for?!?!  Start changing your life TODAY.
